I'm sorry to tell you this, but the only magic you'll find in this world (without violating universal laws), is the magic inherent in your own state of Being.
This is what Jesus was referring to when he said "I AM" - you can only ever attract (and keep), what you yourself are.
Forget influencing others against their will. The closest you'll get to this without violating natural order is subjective communication. It's known by many names and a search will turn it up. d_redant posted something about it the other day (using a different name).
It will only work if the other person is open to what you suggest. No amount of magic will influence someone against their will; unless you resort to Black Magic, which is a fool's game.
