I was looking for ways to do this as well. I haven't found much information, but there are a few things I can tell you in order to prepare for it. From what I was able to find, an individual needs to have a strong mental shield up if they are to go into the dreams of others. The shield not only protects the "dream walker", but it also keeps your identity a secret from the people whose dreams you walk into.
The following is my own opinion on the matter: If you know a person well, and they see you as just another person, the rules in their dreams will likely restrict your movement. If the person fears you, then "fighting" on their territory will not be so hard. Their fear makes you the stronger person, even in their realm.
----------------------
I also learned that in order to practice the "dream walking" ability, one must first become at least adept at astral projection.

Look at that. I learned something new. I hadn't thought of dream programming before. Thanks for the info.
