I was recently reading Louis Yagera's blog about theta state and he mentioned autogenic training as being a very effective method for reaching theta. This piqued my curiosity and I found myself doing a bit of research. I came across a short, bare-bones practical book on the topic. I read it a couple times and have been using it for the past week. I found it to be very useful in maintaining calm and focus.

I'd like to learn more, so if anyone cares to shed some light on the topic, it would be much appreciated.

haha thx for the replies, but i was looking for some more in-depth readings.

I want to learn more about the specifics and details associated with it, so that I can develop a more effective, personalized method to help me get as deep as possible and to, hopefully, maintain a stable theta state. So far, I've achieved theta for only a second. My eyes were closed but I could see blue light and heard a whooshing noise.
