Is the disposition of human remains really important? Let us take a moment to reflect upon the following.

Deliberate burning of the body prevents the natural decaying process because the very essence of that body has now changed. Those changed elements must then undergo a process which will return them to a condition where they can once again serve as components of a physical body. Intentional burning delays the recycling process which provides nourishment to the earth.

However, when a body is burned in an unintentional manner it may seem devastating, but is by plan and in divine order and the body components will pursue the recycling intention of providing nutrients to the earth.

Plants and animals are the providers in the food chain, but man has removed himself from this cycle by placing his body in containers, which then hinders the earth’s evolutionary process. Participation in this food chain also affects an individual’s evolutionary progress. If one decides to have his body cremated, that person creates karma and will in some lifetime, in some condition become a source of food for some animal. That may sound offensive, but there are consequences when obstructing the natural order of events

Cultures of the past realized the significance of returning the body to it’s earthly substance by allowing natural decomposition to transpire in it’s own time. American Indians are a primary example of this.

Current societal burial customs which delay normal recycling of body nutrients, also contribute to starvation on this planet. The supply of nutrients required by the earth to support life is not unlimited. If we are unsuccessful in reviving the natural supply cycles to the earth, we endanger the planet, planetary life, the solar system and the galaxy as well. Everything is connected to everything. We are responsible for the environmental consequences caused by inappropriate thoughts and actions since we are the creators.

As we evolve in this existence, we have the opportunity to restore the balance of nature. As we begin to change our consciousness, the consciousness of others also change, and the idea of natural balance will return in a more significant form.
