Attract Your Heart’s Desire Through Deep Relaxation & Visualization

Please note that the following is not meant to serve as an exhaustive insight into the workings of “Creative Visualization” as numerous in-depth books on this topic are readably available. Instead, this work is an expose’ of the author’s personal technique referenced from many books over the years.

With burning desire, the power of belief, the power of visualization charged with emotion, and expectancy, it is possible for anyone to manifest any circumstance, material object or emotional state with the latent powers of your mind. However, that being said, keep things within reason. For example, refrain from visualizing that you are “President of the United States” if you only have a ninth grade education because you may end up blue in the face! That’s not to say that with sufficient time and self improvement this, or anything else, is out of your reach. Don’t expect to create miracles overnight. Just as it took time to develop your current situation it will take time to mold the universe to your will and change the circumstances surrounding you. Emotional states such as peace, joy and happiness take much less time to manifest while physical circumstances and material desires take longer. The author, with consistent devotion, has personally manifested material desires within a one to three month time span. Although this is something you should generally keep to yourself.

According to your faith will it be done to you. Thoughts are forces. Like attracts like. The thoughts you consistently hold in your mind mold your future whether you are conscious of it or not.

The Following exercises require a certain level of commitment and discipline. For best results the exercises should be done first thing in the morning after waking while still in bed. Avoid opening your eyes and go right in to your visualization exercise. Another session in the afternoon, and a third at bedtime before falling off to sleep. The more time you spend developing your single focus of mind while in deep relaxation, the quicker the results. While conducting the exercises, avoid all mind altering drugs as this will prevent your ability to reach the depth within yourself required.

You are asked to accept this information with “blind faith” as each nuance behind the process is unimportant at this time. Trust in the process, believe me, it works. Continue with your exercises while removing all doubt and disbelief from your mind until your goal or desire is manifest. People who “give up” are people who fail. Perseverance is equated with success. It should be noted that sometimes our path through life leads us to a completely new desire while abandoning the old. When this happens acknowledge that you did not fail but simply changed your goal in pursuit of something new. On your first few attempts manifest something small, close within your field of availability. Each small success will strengthen your belief. Build upon your success from there.

A common mistake for someone just starting out is trying to manifest something considered big by your mind, such as a lottery win. While this is certainly not out of reach, you must convince yourself (or pretend if you will) that what you are visualizing is real “and exists now.” Not in the future tense. If you are a person struggling to make ends meet you may find it difficult to believe in the fact that you are a lottery millionaire. I think you see the point.

It is very important not to discuss what you are doing with others. That means NO ONE, not even your closest loved ones. And no, it’s not because people might think you’re crazy. It’s because another person’s negative outlook can actually take away vital energy and have an adverse effect on this very subtle energy of mind, preventing success. The only exception to this rule is a joint project with a trusted friend(s) where all involved are focusing on the same goal. This can be very powerful. If this is all new to you, don’t give a second thought to whether this works or doesn’t work. Trust in the process and all will be well, you’ll see.

The idea (or ideal) you hold in your conscious mind “as true” will be accepted by the subconscious mind as true. This makes an impression on the subconscious mind. From this point let it suffice that there are higher forces at work. Your mind and especially your subconscious mind have a very intimate connection with this higher force. As above, so below. So below, as above express truth and insight into manifestation. While this may all seem a little mysterious, this topic should not be regarded lightly as it is based on ancient esoteric knowledge and can be considered “magic” in the truest sense of the word.

It is very important not to use this information to initiate control over others or for any negative means whatsoever as this will boomerang back to you! Avoided this at all costs. It is vital to charge the visualization of your goal with as much emotion as possible. While deeply relaxed and visualizing the end result of your desire repeat phrases to yourself such as: “I did it!!!”, “This is in my life now!!!” Feel the thrill of success. The charging with emotion is absolutely essential for the successful manifestation of your goal. Never set a time limit for the manifestation of your desire. The universe will unfold as it should and you will be led to do the right thing at the right time. Trust your intuition.

The following relaxation method and deepening method, listed in point form for simplicity sake, is the author’s personal approach to reaching very deep states of relaxation. It is essential to still the body, granting superior access to the subconscious or inner mind.

The Relaxation Method

- Find a place where you will not be disturbed, turn off the phone, remove any audible sounds such as a ticking clock.
- Quickly stretch your entire body.
- Sit or lay down with your spine straight. If sitting, place your cupped hands upright in your lap. If laying down, remove the pillow from under your head and place your arms by your side. Get comfortable. Close your eyes.
- Breath deeply and slowly while sending yourself the message to relax. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Ten or so breaths should be sufficient, more if desired. Exhale your first couple of breaths completely to remove any stale air at the bottom of your lungs.
- Resume breathing through your nose.
- Now focus on each of your body parts one at a time while repeatedly sending the message to each area to relax. Take your time on each body part. Start with your feet. Send the message to your feet, “relax...” Feel them completely relax. Then repeat the process upward to your lower legs, upper legs, hips and abdominal area, chest, hands, forearms, upper arms, shoulders, neck and head. Some prefer the reverse starting with your head and ending with your feet.
- By this time you should be very relaxed. By the way, if you suffer from insomnia, this is a great way to relax yourself into sleeping.
- Note: While conducting your visualization exercise first thing in the morning after waking. This process is not required as your body is already quite relaxed. Make sure not to open your eyes and do not stretch.

The Deepening Method

- Visualize (with your mind’s eye) walking in to an elevator.
- Turn around and watch the doors close.
- Look up at the numbers above the door. See the number 10 light up.
- Feel the elevator going down and initiate a count down from floors 10to 1.
- Actually see the numbers light up one by one as you count them down.
- While counting down, send yourself the message that you are becoming more and more deeply relaxed as each number passes. Synchronize each number with a slow inhale and exhale. For example: 10; inhale and exhale. 9; inhale and exhale, and so on. On the exhale say to your yourself: relax.
- When the elevator reaches the first floor, exit the elevator, cross a hallway and enter another elevator.
- Repeat the entire count down scenario in the new elevator.
- Exit the elevator, turn right and walk down a white hallway towards a doorway at the end.
- As you walk down the hall visualize, to the best of your ability, very bright white light coming from the ceiling along the hallway. Feel surrounded by warmth and love coming from this light.
- As you come to the doorway at the end of the hall see a staircase going downward with numbers on the side of each step starting at 21.
- Walk down the staircase, counting down from 21 while sending the message to yourself with each step down that you are becoming very deeply relaxed.
- At the bottom of the staircase you find a comfortable chair. Sit down on the chair.
- At this point you should feel very deep “within” yourself. If not, repeat the elevator or staircase scenarios for further deepening.
This completes the deepening process and you are now ready to start visualizing your goal or desire.

Visualize the END RESULT of your goal or desire as vividly as possible and happening NOW. Make it as real as possible in your mind. For example, if your desire is to have a new motorcycle. Examine every detail, the color, the tires, the seat, the instruments, the feel of the grips, the smell. Feel the motor under you as you drive away with joy. Feel the wind on your face, the performance of the bike. Feel the reality of having this desire in your life now! Infuse your visualization with as much emotion as you can muster - emotions such as: joy, freedom, fun, contentment, or whatever suitable emotion appropriate.

While in deep relaxation, visualizing a logical order of steps for the attainment of your desire is also a powerful process. For example, using the motorcycle scenario. First, see yourself having the funds in your hand or bank account, contacting a dealer or having a look in the newspaper for the right bike, going to see the bike, paying the person for the bike and so on until the thrill of owning it and riding it are yours NOW! After completing the steps, it is very important to spend time visualizing the END RESULT of having what you desire.

The best possible manifestation in alignment with the universe happens when you infuse bright white light (remember the hallway?) around the object of your visualization at some point throughout the exercise. Consider it the light of your higher self. Towards the end of your exercise always give many thanks (filled with emotion) to the higher powers (or whatever label you choose) for manifesting your goal or desire. By giving thanks, psychologically you are telling yourself that you are already in possession of your desire. Always finish the exercise with, “This or something better is now manifest in my life for the good of all.”

In reference to “money required” concerning the motorcycle manifestation example which applies to all other manifestations requiring money. Refrain from visualizing a source of the money. Remember that the universe will always utilize the easiest path to connect you with your desire, often in ways you haven’t thought of. Keep in mind, the universe may literally drop a motorcycle, so to speak, in your lap. Without any money required at all! Creative Visualization works in mysterious ways.

If you are trying to manifest money in general, while deeply relaxed simply repeat to yourself the word “wealth” combined with the “feeling” of wealth and money will be part of your experience in the near future. What you sow you shall reap.

After you feel that you have spent adequate time on your visualization exercise, with the exception of your bed time session, come back to waking consciousness slowly by counting up from 1 to 5. Feel yourself coming up from the depth within yourself with each count. When you reach 5 say to yourself, “I am now fully awake and refreshed.” Open your eyes. At this point do not dwell on your desire throughout the day; let it go. Just know with a mind-set of expectancy that the universe is connecting you with what you want.

If you continue to practice the above exercises diligently, expect to witness real results in your life. While you are in a deeply relaxed state you will always gain by focusing on states of peace and love. What you project, always comes back to you. It is important to take on only one visualization project for the attainment of one desire at a time, otherwise the universe will receive mixed messages and slow the process.

If you want your life to take a more positive turn in general, while deeply relaxed repeat to yourself the classic positive affirmation, “Every day in every way my life is getting better and better.”
