When studying manifestation work iv come across a contradiction.
While many people say continuesly visualise your desire in the present tense with positive emotions until it manifests.
Other people say you do it once, then release it and dont think about it again and it will come to you.
Im confused, which one is right?

I think that is an answer you have to answer on your own... both will work. I personally think that more time and effort you put into getting your manifestation the quicker and more likely chance of it happening. You have to ask yourself... How bad do I really really want this? Is it worth me putting my time and effort into this?
I think if you find yourself doubting or thinking negatively about what you want to manifest then you should visualize and meditate on your goal again and again until you take care of whatever is blocking you from getting whatever it is you want. Just one negative thought may be keeping your manifestation just out of reach.

Manifestation occurs in only one way, however there are many different "methods" of manifesting, they all really do the samething...positive thinking and wishful thinking is useless, so forget about that BS
You should do both simontaneously in my opinion, you must remain detached at all times, in all circumstances, yet still while detached constantly manifest your desire...
There are innumerable reasons why manifestation doesn't work, its due namely to contracting energy within you...
