I've had success with time warping - I've only used it with driving, but I use it consistently.
Example: Let's say that I fear that I will be late and traffic gets slow on the highway. I ask for spiritual help. I ask for a time warp. I say what time I need to be there. Then I do not look at the clock. I do it with faith, since I know that it works.
Another thing that I do is that if I have a long drive ahead - or maybe an hour drive late at night, I ask for the time to go quickly. I ask for a state of consciousness that is very productive and comfortable for me and where it will seem like the time goes more quickly. Always asking that enough of my mind attends to driving safely as is needed.
Zygos, when you gave your example of needing a lot of sleep in a short period of time after staying up with friends, it really sparked my imagination.
I think that I might experiment further. For example, when I am having a good time - to ask that, even though we only have 2 more hours to spend with each other, to make it seem like 6 hours.
and, during the day, when I want to be productive, to ask that time slow down so that I get 2 days worth of work done in a single day's time.
Right now, I have an hour before I have to get ready for a lunch date. During that hour, I'd like to continue doing some fun things - like checking my forums, but also feel like I got something valuable accomplished, like making a step towards my next contract, or cleaning my desk, or paying some bills. So I'd like this hour to stretch for me. I'd like my state of consciousness to be such that I am able to accomplish a lot during this hour.

The best place to look for many of these is www.realityshifters.com which has some witnessed and confirmed examples. A Japanese obstetrician was called by her hospital to attend a difficult birth in the middle of the night. She wanted to be there in around an hour for safety of the mother and child, but the journey from the mountains was a few hours. She got there in an hour and as the hospital records had both the time they called her and the time she arrived, there was no way round this. I seem to remember the doctor allowed her name to be used, so the other explanation, an urban myth, should be easily turned over if the doctor or hospital was contacted.

I've slowed down time (or my perception of it) in fast react situations. Like sports, or when my car begins to drift off an icy road. By slowing time, you can think rationally about the situation. I've not done it intentionally, but only as a reactionary measure.
