I recently read a Psychic Influence book online-- The one by Swami Panchadasi-- And I've realized that, as opposed to many of the other influence techniques, there is no mention of alpha or theta states.
Is this true? I do not need to gain alpha or theta access to still utilize my mind to it's fullest?

im no professor at this stuff but i would think that you should be able to your mind at its fullest in any mindstate. i think it just has to do with will, and concentration.

From my experience I don't think that brainwave states are the be all and end all. For example we have stuff like holosync that is meant to make you "meditate like a zen monk" which basically puts you into a brainwave state - but that state definitely doesn't equal the meditation of an accomplished zen monk - because meditation isn't just about brainwave states. The same goes for psychic ability in my opinion, brainwave stuff can help, but if it was all about that then there would be a lot more people activating psychic abilities and enlightenment from listening to this stuff.
