try doing a search on here for astral projection and my screen name I posted a really good website about that kind of thing... I just don't recall what it is right now... once I have more time I may repost the link.
Try writing and affirmation "I will allow myself to remember my dreams." Or try meditating... repeat the above affirmation again and again continuely for 15 minutes do it for a week. |

I'm only just beginning to crack dream recall with the intention of mastering lucid dreaming.
I find it helps not to move at all when you wake up, you can train yourself to do this, then just think 'what was I dreaming?' Another thing I find helps is to always write down notes about dreams when you remember them as otherwise your dream memory may dissapear as you start your day.
There is quite an effective paraliminal CD called Dream Play produced by Learning Strategies, it is quite pricy but could be worth it. But you should be able to remember your dreams without this CD if you are determined enough.
It really is fascinating as well when you start remembering your dreams
Good luck |

That was my problem also.
It was through sincere intention - then keeping a pad and pencil beside my bed. It then just happened.
Then intending to wake up through the night ... now i ask my guides to wake me up.
You will also require a pendulum - as the dreams are mostly symbolic (using your daily reality) .. and are much deeper in authentic interpreting, than just guessing/assuming/believing.
Namaste

| also, one way that worked for me was i would just put myself to sleep by over and over and over, telling myself, "i will remember my dream" and with that i was basically able to control before i went to bed whether i remembered it or not. and also, when waking up, try not to think of anything else, only your dream, do not use a radio alarm |

| I have trouble remembering my dreams also. One thing that helps me is putting the herb mugwort in my pillowcase. I remembered bits of dreams the very first night but it may take a few weeks. |

My opinion about this is to have reality checks as a daily routine. (and they eventually move on to dreams, and increase the possibility to become consciously aware of the dream during sleep). As in some previous messages was suggested, try to relax and don't try to force yourself to remember your dreams.
One good habit you could do is: always upon awakening, do not move, let thoughts wonder around, and you have a bigger chance of remembering your dream / dreams. If you haven't heard about reality checks, then look for websites dedicated to lucid dreaming. Personally, my first lucid dream was due to frequent reality checks, and they moved on to my dream triggering a response from a reality check I did in a dream.
Another and effective method for lucid dreaming (and maybe the best) is WILD (wake induced lucid dream)... you sleep for like 5-6 hours. Have an alarm clock wake you up, stay awake for 30-60 minutes, be relaxed and do something (preferably also reality checks here) and go back to sleep.
So in the end, to have LD's does not require for you to remember all your dreams (dream recall), but it surely improves the capacity and possibility of having a lucid dream next time. If you don't remember any of your dreams in the moment you wake up, you might by chance remember parts of the dream later, during the day. But if you can write down at least one dream you remember, it will increase your confidence. Write the down in the as if you were in the dream in first person, for ex. "I'm rowing a boat and a golfball is thrown into the water, I feel like gazing at the golfball. Now I'm in a huge icy hall, the floor is made of marbles, red in color"... like that. Check out some lucid dreaming websites.
Vivid dreams.
