I'm wondering if this was a psychic vision. As I was laying down for my usual after work nap, there was a huge flash of light as I closed my eyes. Like a "big bang" kind of flash then I felt energy throughout my spine. Woke up from the nap very confused.

There are many things it could have been . For example it could have been an energy spike from techtonic plates or psychic turbulence like when girls go thru puberty and experience poltergeists or it could have been a sponataneous khundalini awakening experience . Some might even suggest it was subconsiously connected to The Doctor Who season finale . 
Out of curiosity , what makes you believe it was a psychic vision ?
Have you been doing a psychic development regimen lately or had a major change in your life ?

I have been doing initiations from a seer who combines all the teachings into one. He's said that many of his initiates experience as their first psychic vision what I have said in my first post. The energy was very real.

To add to this I actually have had a change in my life. I'm moving out of the parents house to live on my own within the year.

When you said energy and spine , I thought of khundhalini . And in case anyone is wondering , I have seen it spelled three different ways .
When someone has an experience , I ask why at this moment it occured and what was the trigger . It would have been helpful to know about the seer and being initiated .
Are you trying to be a shaman ?

No I am not trying to be a shaman. though that would be kinda cool though. Have you heard of ShaktipaSeer? http://www.alchemymeditations.com
anyway, I think I know what the trigger was. I was meditating on a liberation of Fear sigil from this enlightened individual. that could've been what triggered the experience. Still haven't been able to develop Truesight yet but that's probably gonna happen when I least expect it.
