Since the moon is waxing I made myself an amulet to be "free of worry".
Since then I find myself feeling depressed, blah, not very hopeful.
Can anyone think of a reason for this? |

| I'm not too experienced with amulets, but what method did you use to make it? If you used programming, then the phrasing of your command could the be problem. Are you experienced in making amulets? |

No, it's my first attempt at an amulet.
I've been successful with sigils.
The method I used was charging it with the essence of the moon along with my will. I meditated on what I kind of amulet to make and that's what I came up with. I used the tarot to confirm whether I should proceed and it was positive. I cleared the object of other energies by burying it in the ground for a few hours. The instructions I had said to condense your desire into 1 or 2 words, and that's how I chose "worry free". |

It could be that your "worry-free" statement is being interpreted as a sense of apethy, which in large amounts can result in a sense of depression. Hope that helps.

I see what you mean, but I'm not sure how this would happen. |

| When working with things like this, almost everything you say is taken in the most literal sense. In this case "worry free" could be taken as "worry without restraint", rather than not having worries. |

I thought of that once and wasn't sure if it was valid.
But when you mentioned how everything is literal then that seems right.
I've seem to run into this problem before with affirmations.
I know you're supposed to do things in the affirmative or positive, not negative, but it's hard to find the right thing to say or do when it's a bad thing you're trying to get rid of. Would you just takes its' opposite and affrim that? I think I tried and found it hard to do, or hard to put all your energy into something you're not sure of. |

Perhaps "no anxiety" would work better. Less wiggle room.

I agree but I was always taught to not use negative's like "no" or "stop".
Supposedly the sub doesn't like it or recognize it? |

Would "without anxiety" be more suitable? It's still a negative, but I don't know...

| For a positive, what about "I'm happy"? That by default should get rid of worries and the like. I have no experience in this, though, so you may want to ask around to see if it will work. Or, just try it. Whatever works for you |

This would definately work.
As previous poster mentioned the subsconscious should have zero negative input..so everything including statements, the way you talk, the way you think silently should all be framed positive..
I am happy
I am free from anxiety
I am joyful
etc,etc
