Have you heard about the new “Sacred Blessings” CD? It's a collection of songs inspired by the world’s great faiths, all handpicked by life coach ANTHONY ROBBINS. The CD features chants/mantras/music by Deva Premal, Miten & Craig Pruess. Its perfect for releasing your mind while meditating and doing yoga. Listen to some of the tracks like "I Love You Lord", "So much Magnificance", "You can Relax now" and my personal favorite the "Gayatri Mantra". You can sample some tracks at www.kosmicmusic.com/Product.do?code=KUS-10078&category=_future and buy the CD there, or at your local retail store.

| I listen to Bob Marley when I meditate. The steel drums and rasta sound just soothes and calms me. |

Yes Bob Marley is a legend and very metaphysical spiritual person.
Some even call him a prophet..
Listen to his songs. They ring tune to our souls..
I love 'Natural Mystic'
Its filled of so much truth and wisdom
There are also many other Reggae singers who sing conscious music.. They literally call it conscious music! and they're filled with so much lovely tunes of wisdom, power and energy..
Other artists include sizzla, anthony b, coco tea, matisyahu (a jewish spiritual reggea singer)...
There are so much!! |

Hi d_redant. I just heard the bob marleys natural mystic & i didn't found it relaxing or conducive to meditation. May be i am wrong but i think Merlins magic: The heart of Reiki is better for meditation than natural mystic.
Please reply. Thank you. |

Everyone's experience is difference..but definately you're the first person I've heard commented in a negative manner about the relaxing medatitive music of bob marley.
You're surely not use to this type of music.. Visit the Caribbean..or go to a Rasta Party..where love and oneness sounds and lyrics are played..where you will feel the united energies.. If you're psychic as well you'll really get a lovely experience in these types of parties.
It does wonders to flow inspiration, relaxation and deep meditation for me and alot of other people whom I know personally worldwide.
That Reiki music is obviously different. from natural mystic.
You see bob marley tapped into the collective unconsciousness..and produced his inspirations for the world..in music..
When he entered altered states of consciousness (though smoking the weed) he was able to channel words and creative inspiration for his songs. He tapped into the vibe which is alot of other people do when they meditate, hum, chant, etc.
Obviously the heart of reiki music would be different form Bob Marley's works. You should surely be able to see the clear differences in these types of music..
You see Bob Marley is in the mainstream.. I commented on some mainstream spiritual music..
All spiritual music is of importance and greatness. I would not say one is better than the other.
For you the Reiki Music may be better...but for someone else it may not be.
Accept that each has their own path..and that none is better than the other.

yes i shouldn't have compared it. I didn't mean it is bad or negative. I liked the music. i just didn't find it meditative.
Actually i am used to slow music without beats & this may be the reason why i said something like that......... |

| Is it totally bizarre to feel the most "charged" after listening to Metal or Metalcore music? Not all of it works, but in most of the music I like, I can definitely feel something. |

|
|
| Hello, I find that my musical tastes vary with my mood and also my purposes.....I enjoy soothing seas and Tibetan bowls while meditating, but also guitar music, and the Tallis scholars.....or Lorena Mckinnet (sp?)....Somtimes if I am very sad, as I have been this past year grieving, I cannot listen to music at all. It evokes too much emotion. As a musician, with eclectic tastes, I agree that music is a personal matter, and whatever one enjoys, one should sample. I cannot live without satellite radio....I'd take it to the desert isle, should I have one wish before being banished, LOL! |
