Hey!
Has anyone tried it?
It is said that one could manifest really easy if you can achieve to "order" your mind to dream about a specific thing.
I started 3 days ago with this, and I want to know if someone here have any experience with this method.
Thanks for sharing!

Letting go means surrender.
On Earth, surrender means a loss of some sort.
That isn't the meaning here.
Surrender means trust.
Attachment stems from your ego.
Your ego has been conditioned by society.
You're ego actually developed out of the necessity to survive.
Your ego is based on fear, it iis there to protect you.
But aren't you your ego??
No, you're indescribable perfection.
You are soul, spirit.
You are an aspect of the Divine, God.
We call this aspect your Higher Self.
So surrender and letting go is trusting your Higher Self, God to bring you what you want.
Surrender = Trust.
Mr Myagi infamous words to Daniel-san
"Trust".
Do you trust yourself, you real self???
God??

I agree with rojo, you're an amazing resource thank you for all that you share with us!
Kaydon is there a reason why dream programming works better than regular affirmations? For example, instead of repeating "I will have dreams tonight that make me feel confident" you simply repeated "I am confident."
That's something I've been wondering because I have tried repeating affirmations before (recorded in audio to loop overnight) and I did notice changes but they were slow. But when I started dream programming the effects seemed to happen so much faster.
I don't quite understand why if they almost mean the same thing?
Any thoughts on this?

I actually know not the answer to your question.
I, too, noticed this.
It may have something to do with you programming your dreams then your subconscious takes over your dream in a way that benefits you.
Whereas with a straightfoward affirmation you are pretty much trying to force your dream with the exact same content all the time.
Maybe that's the reason ... maybe not.

I just thought of something else.
When you are repeating an affirmation to yourself, you use "I am ...".
But when you are listening to an affirmation, it should be "You are ..." as the voice is seperate from you.

Hmm, I'm stumped. I will meditate and see if my subconscious gives me any answers
Btw, I did use "I am" and "You are" in my sleep audio as well as my name to cover up all the bases.
For example:
I am confident.
You are confident.
Vivian is confident.
I did feel a minor increase in my confidence, but it was nowhere near the emotional impact I had when I recalled having a dream where I made a speech in front of hundreds of people and felt so confident afterwards.
I'm thinking that repeating "I am confident" or "You are confident" should also lead to dreams that make it true, doesn't it?
Or maybe it has something to do with limiting beliefs. If you constantly hear "I am confident" / "You are confident" it'll bring up existing beliefs and experiences that prove you are not confident.
With dream programming there is NO resistance at all. You're just asking for a dream.

Dreams are controlled at a subcinscious level so if it's in your subconscious, where all your memories and beliefs are, you can dream it.
That would include limiting beliefs too, as in a nightmare.
So I don't think resistance is the key ... unless you manage to completely bypass that resistance but that would depend on how deeply ingrained the belief is.
Yes, the "You are connfident" or whatever, would lead to the dream you want.
But if that's all you hear, the dream can't progress as your subconscious likes as it is always being fed the exact same thing.
You know, it's a stumper of a question and one I don't know the answer to, so when you find out please let me know <3

Yes!!!
Today I had a programmed dream!
I don't know if it's the first one, but it is the first one I can remember, and it was about the thing I told my mind before I slept.
But it was weird, since I wasn't listening to the audio this time. I just repeated to myself "I will have dreams tonight....." until I fell
But well, for those that have doubts... don't, this works

Rojo that's awesome!! Do you mind sharing what you wanted to program and what the dream was like?
And yeah just repeating "I will have dreams tonight..." works just fine (it has for me so far!)

I think I got the answer!!!! Excuse my exclamation marks, but I'm super excited right now.
My brain has been mulling over it ever since I asked you the question, and an answer just popped into my head 5 minutes ago.
Actually 2 things happened today. I came across this article while looking up info about the subconscious and its understanding of words.
| Code: | http://www.mindpowernews.com/UnsungHero.htm
|
It basically talks about how the mind is divided into 4 parts. The first part is controlled by the subconscious (pavlovian controller), and the other 3 (goal-directed, episodic, habitual controller) are a mix of conscious and subconscious.
After skimming through it, I didn't give it much thought since it was too much to read and I got bored lol.
While I was doing my occasional meditation, an answer popped into my head -- both affirmations and dream programming phrases affect the subconscious, but they don't affect the SAME parts of the mind.
Affirmations affect the goal-directed controller and episodic controller, while dream programming affects the pavlovian controller (which is ruled by our instincts).
So my guess is since the pavlovian controller is purely controlled by the subconscious, its effects are of course stronger and faster.
I could be completely wrong about it but it makes a lot of sense (that and when ideas come during meditation it gotta mean something!).

Sorry I didn't answer before. I was on vacations
I wanted to program dreams to re initiate contact with a friend (almost a sister) I lost some time ago. Well I didn't lose her, but she went to live to Hawaii and we lost contact because of the different time zones. We hardly talked thru facebook but some months ago we stopped that as well, studies and jobs made it impossible, and she closed her facebook.
But well, I started to use this technique and I started dreaming about her and me being reunited. I remember two dreams... in one of them we were having some coffee in a bar, and the other one was kinda strange, because she was in my high school, in my classroom with my former school mates, but she didn't go to school with me, so I don't know why she was there lol...
A few days later she sent me some app on facebook... she opened it again, so I recognized the sign and knew I had to take action, so I sent her a private message, we started talking again, and about a week later she told me she is about to graduate, and then she is coming back here to live, so I guess in a few weeks (she studying for her last exam) we will see each other again
I hope this helps you!

Hey guys,
I've been reading your comments and you've got me really interested in this whole 'dreaming programming' thing. I want to try it but all the links Kaydon put at the beginning of this thread are all dead.
I was wondering if any of you could help point me in the right direction so I can learn how to do this as well.
I'd really appreciate it...

That's an amazing result wow! I'm happy that you will be reunited with her again. And it worked FAST. Yeah I'm with you, dream programming does work!
I never thought to use it on specific things like you did though, so thank you so much for sharing that. I've had a lot of success programming to feel certain emotional states like euphoria and bliss (that I normally never feel in my day to day life.. sad but true lol) so it's been great so far.
Just wondering how did you phrase your message? Something along the lines of, "I will have dreams tonight that cause me to reinitiate contact with <friend's name>?"

Yay welcome onboard This is an amazing technique that very few people know or practice (at least I don't see much discussion on it). Cool that you're interested.
Kaydon may come back to re-post the links, but in the meantime you can check out a lot of the material on google:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=filetype:pdf+site:supermindforum.com&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=
In its simplest form, you simply repeat "I will have dreams tonight that cause <insert your intention" or "I will have dreams tonight that make me feel <insert emotion>"
You keep repeating the phrase until you fall asleep. Once you do it enough, I find that repeating it only 20 times is good enough to affect my dreams.
If you wanna use it to manifest something, it may take some time to come to you. But in my experience, programming for emotional states is the fastest result you can get. It literally works the next day.
Anyway try it out and let me know how it goes!
